Comments: I have tried "zero drop" running before, only to sustain significant injury. I gave up. I heard about the Altra and gave them a try. I am ecstatic with them. However, one must accomodate to these shoes. Unlike the prior manufacturers shoe that I tried, these I found much easier and pain free. I am still in the process and find the Brooks PureConnect with a 5mm drop to be the perfect transition shoe. What amazes me about these shoes are how stress free they are. As I use them more and more my times are improving with less fatigue. I am 59 run 5K am looking to hit my goal of 21:30, have come close in the past before injury and hope these are the shoes that allow me to attain the goal.
