Comments: UNBELIEVABLE! Thank you Altra! I just don't know how you can be the only ones doing this. The classic problem with trail running is: you want a shoe that has the benefits of being "minimal" but isn't so minimal you injure the bones in your arch misstepping on rocks and roots. For me this shoe strikes the absolute perfect balance. You have the zero drop, the wide toe box, a relatively flat firm foot base (no squishy springy padding), fairly lightweight, and you FEEL the trail with your feet. The big difference is, the stones and roots that occasionally caused sharp arch pain in my old ultra-lightweight shoes now cause only discomfort. You still *feel* the trail. You still have a minimal experience, complete with occasional discomfort. BUT, you are not bruising your arch bones. I've tried shoe after shoe after shoe from Altra competitors and I've found nothing like this. It uniquely fills what would otherwise be a market void. I wish Altra huge success in this pioneering work.
