Meet Altra's New elite trail Athlete, Careth Arnold

Careth recently moved to Durango, CO to further her pursuit of trail running which she found a love for in 2021. She found instant success and has graced the podium of several 50 milers. She entered her first 100k in Bandera and came home with a 3rd place finish. She plans to slowly increase her racing mileage and attributes her excellent race results to mom strength, perseverance, consistency, and a love for the challenge.

Where are you from?

I am from my mother's womb - born into life in the back seat of a taxicab, stuck in Bangkok traffic. I spent the first 15 years of my life in Thailand before moving to a number of U.S. states.

How did you get into running?

I was an active kid who participated in a variety of team sports. I played soccer midfield, outside wing in touch rugby, and shortstop for softball - positions that all involve a lot of running - and I loved it.

What do you love about running?

I love the persistent challenge, the views, and the sense of accomplishment that follows.
