How fast do you think you could run a backwards mile?
My neck would give out or I would fall at maybe a 10-minute mile :)

What is one of your most memorable non-competition runs?

Falling in love with long distance trail running by challenging myself and a friend to run a full two hours on a trail. The thrill of seeing how far my body could run in wildlands started with this run.

If you had to pick one race or event this year that you anticipate will be your most proud achievement or moment, which one would it be and why? Do you have a special connection?

The single best moment of the year is my training today. I love the process and I do best when I absolutely stay in the moment, in the now. If life stopped tomorrow, I want to have been my best doing what I can do right this moment.

What is your favorite event to watch that you don’t participate in?

I love watching the high jump. Power, form, and strength through jumping over a bar is incredible to me.

Do you have any quirky running habits?

Too many to list here. I run to explore like no one I know.

Eat a slice of pizza mid-race or drink a milkshake?

Pizza. I don’t eat pizza, but I did last September in my win at IMTUF 100!

Run on an empty stomach or a full bladder?

I never run on a full bladder… I live in the mountains, that’s not necessary.

Do a beer mile or a milk mile?

Beer mile. Not a drinker, but I make exceptions!

Run in the freezing cold or the sweltering heat?

Mountain Man

Be met at the finish line with your favorite beverage or favorite meal?

Neither. I don’t eat or drink a ton right after typically. My belly wants to rest!

Come across a snake or a rat on your run?

Snakes for sure!

Run with a blister on your foot or a cramp in your side?

Blister, I can handle that, cramps are bad.

Give up core work or stretching and still stay injury-free?

Some people can get away with things, I can skip core for a good while honestly.

Run uphill in the first half of your run or the second?

First half for sure!
